This was a gift for a friend of mine - Kelley Ruth. It's a simple journal header, with simple shading and equally simple animation. Despite all this, I'm quite fond of it.
I tend to rely on the 'reduce pixel lightness little by little' shading tactic a little too much.

Very nice, it seems to show the art form of a god. Or i guess you could say it seems to look god like in a fictitious sort of manner. Very nice and exceptional.
Looking good. I love the lineart and color choice. The symmetry you have put into the colouring is not what you want. This merely adds to pillow shading. The light source is from the bottom (the lanterns, I suppose) though colour on the wings seems to be fluent even when near the lanterns. The spots on the wings (leading to the feathering) should be lighter, in my opinion. The whisker/hair seems wonderful and beautiful, though the symmetry (again) bothers me. I love this.
