A piece i tried to start it GIMP 2.4 but ended up finishing it in msPaint. I hope you like it, i have been working on it all morning,I think i counted 10 colours.

Looks much more like a branch of the Mandelbrot set than lightening.

The color selection and glow is awesome. If it was shaped more like a regular bolt of lightning I think it would be much more powerful of a picture. Good job.
