I'm leaning towards tomic's side on this one.  Mod discuss?

well guys, i just read that tutotrial on gas13's site (yep, in russian, piece of cake =) and the thing here is that matriax' water texture is a 6-color-one that was done by hand - your water looks like you cut some corners by using a 'machine-made' noise.. and judging from the palette: it is a machine-made noise

proof: the slots with the water's colors in the palette are totally unsorted and have lots of slots with nearly equal rgb-values (example: 133-192-199; 135-193-200; 133-190-197)..

despite that: i don't think that nearly 1:1 copies of tutorials belong here (read: only submit your own original work)

but water won't go perfectly square if overfull, try this with your bathtub, I guarantee it won't look like that.

The water water is supposed to be over-full.

well the blocks are easy enough to do... but I'm a bit against using a transparent layer for water... and the water coming over the bricks looks odd.

EDIT: the water texture could have used a noise filter, or random pixels sprayed... but It looks more deliberate than random.

I half-followed that tut. It reminded me about opacity and taught me how do to iso.

This look's like you followed matriax's pool tutorial he has on his site, same method of water texture too.. i could be wrong though

I made the 32x32 water texture by hand, but repeated it a few times though.

pixel art implies that (more or less) every pixel is placed by hand - and thi is in no way the case with this water-texture!

I DID make this, I am alot better at solid objects than organic.

The top has been cut off. Also should the water really be coming up like that over the tiles?

As for the doubting, I can kinda see why it might be, but I'll just watch for now.
