Haha! Completely unlike Krysis' style, but very funky in it's own right. :D
I didn't see what it looked like before, but you don't really need to make it like the others. Just have your own take on it.

Cell shading is like the bubbling blending thing right?  I'm not goo with Pixel Art terms.

Pretty much what everyone else said. Close, but no cigar. By itself it looks great, as an X not so much.

Still doesnt look like an xatar.. those all use 3 base colors + highlight, and they would be used way more flat..
Also he needs eyes without pupils.
Background is way too detailed, should only use 2 colors..
No AA, more selective outline.
If you fix that, it will become a real look alike. If you keep it like this its more realistic, but its no real Xater.
Btw, I like the dog how it is now, but the background can use much improvement, even if you dont continue with making it look like krysis xatar.

very nice man, but it doesnt ave Krysis's cel shaded style. Yours is very detailed, which is a good thing.
