A bun should be shaded like a half-sphere. Similar to how you shaded the cat's ears.

This is very cute though. I, as a vegan, should find this disgusting but I love it. Haha.

Yes, that gradient isn't nice, is the light coming from the cat? It's a cute (if odd) concept though! You should look at how to show volume in objects (for example the bun part), using more contrasting colours (for example on the cheese) and you should make sure your shading and lightsourcing is correct, because for some reason atm on the lower bun the highlight is where the shadow should be. However I would remove the gradient on top of the burger, its a bit unrealistic..
