I think 48 colors is a bit too much, you could probably narrow it down, also her rib cage is a little too predominent, maybe cut back on that.

Jeremy,  I updated with some of the lighter colors on the body.  Not perfect but a little better. My thought was, she was wearing a light foundation on her face.  The body was not meant to have a tan, just olive skin.   I see what you mean though.

Up the contrast by using some of the face's lighter colours on the body. After all, it's unusual to see someone who's less tanned on their face than their own body!

[2nd Update]  I made the arm a little less skinny and reshadowed the forearm a bit.

the arm looks wayy too skinny to be close, or is it the bodies too large?

[Updated version]  Worked on the hair a bit.  Added a simple background.  Repixeled the face area.  The arm is bent a little (The hand is about 6" behind her).  She seems a bit more cute, but I don't know if that makes a difference.

Going with dogmeats arguement with some of the stuff let on here, I think this is better than a lot I've seen(and I'm not the only one).  As for dogmeats comment about a badly pixeled head, I don't think I could do any better just yet...considering I'm farly new at this.  I played with it last night and just made it worse.  Sure I could fix the arm...the background, etc.  In fact it had a background and I made it transparent figuring that was the problem.

The voting thing...well that's strange.  I guess new people are looked at with more skepticism.  At least that's my feeling.  You guys are the experts.  I'm just a noob.

Bottom line is I don't think I could do much better as of yet.  I'll mess with it once more, but I think it will be coming down.  Live and learn.  Thanks again.

PS  Who let my stinking clown on here.  That thing sucks!  lol

Upon inspection of the reference image, I have deduced that this is, in fact, not traced, but merely referenced.

I'd watch that outer-AA, especially on the arm. It looks really rough on darker backgrounds.

Speaking of backgrounds, this piece could use one.  That pose just doesn't work well alone.

I am however reluctant to let this in yet, given the current public queue scoring.  Addressing the problems pointed out by dogmeat, AB, and myself and improving the piece would ensure it get in.

The hand is supposed to be wrapped around a bar.  I think you mean the arm.  I'll try to put more of a bend in it.

Yeah, I haven't mastered hair yet either.  I tried the hair a bunch of times.  Maybe if it was a bigger scale it would be easier.  I'm working on hair some more.

Woman looks like woman, it's good anyway.

Main problem now is that hand is too short - it's not bent, so it should reach hips at least. Also note that hair should be shaded as the rest of a body - using lightsource that coming from behind, I think. And there should be simplier way to draw hair (not crafting every lock), but I haven't mastered it yet, so I suggest to see in another works or games.

The body is not traced.  It took hours to get it to look right.  I didn't think the head looked all that bad.  What's the problem with it?  I'm new at pixeling any comments on how to improve the head would be appreciated.

I know the hair isn't the greatest.

Thanks for the comment anyway.
