@DeProgrammer - it is, but I was really going for accuracy. I just wanted to play with the colors of the palette. Thanks for the technical documentation, though.

9-bit color usually means palette R3G3B3 (512 total), like Sega Master System or Genesis had.

Looks good. "9-bit color" would be 257 to 512 colors, though...this could be 5-bit, ie. 17 to 32 colors. You're probably thinking of a gaming console's processor, ie. the NES is 8-bit, but its graphics are 2-bit.
