This is wonderful, especially only using 16 colors. Fantastic.
This sorta reminds me of Dante and Vergil's fight in DMC3... the place, has a similar concept, I wouldn't be surprised if you had any inspiration from it... also the tornado seems as it will suck everything out of the earth and transfer it into another dimension, like the demon world. :D

But I tend to agree with comments, about persp, vortex, emptiness. It's actually lacking a story the viewer can relate to, I think.
For example: a lonely guy on the rock and a small boat on the sea would make one. That's just one idea!
This reminds me of the place in KH2 where you fight scar O_O

yeah, perspective is kinda suck since I didn't plan to add that vortex from the beginning. It should have been just cloudy background. Anyways, thanks for that remark(:

Yes this is pretty messy. I say you should add more colors to this and clean everything up. This piece can improve very easily.

Actually now when I'm looking at the whole piece I don't satisfied with the background. It was kinda rushed I guess, so I'm gonna refine it until it blows my mind :D
This piece has great potential, but is held back through too much contrast. I reckon that a shade between almost all of those existing would look amazing! (This is assuming that you don't have a colour restriction for some reason)
The VortexInTheSky is a bit scribbly and unrefined due to this; dithering used in clouds/sky often looks good but you're let down by the graininess caused by too-high contrast.
Just something to think about :)
