You definitely captured the style, but unfortunately I'm going to have to remove this from the challenge. The challenge article clearly exclaims (three times, no less) in bold and in capitals that entries must be of original characters only.

Shaded Simpsons here. In fact I've never seen either the series or film!

Bg: maybe it's me, but I can't really feel the distance. It is simple, but it is also in the same range of values and 'noise' as the char. I can't really point without editing which of these, if any, is the problem. Maybe there is none.

Thanks for your comments. I looked around in google and its difficult to find a Simpsons character with shadows. try it. In the film they use shadows, but in regular series keep the tones out in general.

When you say "busy" what do you mean? I kept the background as simplistic as i could.

It could use shading though. The original Simpsons have some, very simple but efficient.

The background is nice but too busy, I think, it clashes with the char.
