Had this one lying around for years, too. This came up in a Hatch-a-Thon thread at the Pixel Joint forums a few years ago.
Each artist would pick an egg drawn by another artist and create a creature that would hatch from it. They would then create a new egg for the thread, to keep the chain going.
Rather fun concept, I think.
