Had so much more planned with this :(.
Like an additional player character, some other type of enemys power up items ect.
I actually created a semi complete tileset, will add that later as a link.
I love the usage of the single red color!
Whoa, totally sick palette! Everything has such an otherworldly look to it!
Looks amazing as is.
it would be such a treat to play something that looks this good!
this is the best shit ever. love the tiles
that's pretty sweet, I'd play it!
That's very pretty. The enemies are like a cross between Kirby and Mega Man.
This really should be a game ;)
I always learn from looking at your tilesets. They flow so well, thanks for sharing!
Congrats on first! That's 9/11 challenges that you've got 1st...
congrats on first place!
You made the colors suit your style so well.
I've finally managed to see this, by 'save object as' on the link, and viewing in graphics editor. Very good.
I like the BG a lot!
You have a way with angles and edges, and I like it.
The link does not work too. That's sad, because there is a lot of positive comments, and I've had to skip it when voted.
Still getting it, darn. Maybe find a new imagehost? I really want to check this one out. =P
Hm, as a few people mentioned they can´t see it, I added a link to the image. Hope that doesn´t violate the challenge rules?
this is shmup looks like awsome gameplay also
Same as nothing, can't even see it in the challenge screen so it's a shame.
I'm getting a big "X" on the page which is unfortunite since, atleast from what I'm hearing, this mockup is great.
Standard vierbit game gfx, which is to say - excellent!
Only problems I see are products of the palette's limits, so well done.
I'm not sure how it would work, but you could try dithering the red in the bg mines.
@ fawful - I get that feeling too.
Thanks for the comments,
Yeah, I wasn´t sure about the red mines in the background either. But without them the background looked a bit too "monochrome" to me.
Thats true, but it was already 4:00 AM here. And I wanted to get at least a bit of sleep ;).
Awesome piece! looks almost ready for a PSP or iPhone.
olny crit- and it is minor- is that the pose of the hero could be a little more dynamic. I think that only catches my eye because everything else looks great!
jeebus How do you do this kinda thing? I love everything except the main player sprite (a lil too cutesy for me but that's just personal taste). Truly amazing pixel work and use of the palette.
love the background and the crab enemy.
my oh my....O_O
it seems like a real game, fav!
There goes my chances.
Epic work there, the background and enemys are done veeeery well.
i don't like pretty much some colours anyway the result is positive
simply amazing! the palette/ red is sooo well used! seems like another #1 in ur endless list ;D
I agree with tomF, but this is the best entry by far.
good stuff as usual, the rocks are nice. i would totally ditch the red in the background mines though.
Can't see the picture, so can't vote.
great mockup vierbit :3
i can't see the image!
Good one. I like the environment much. Nto so sure about the red on the mines though. All in all great mock up.
i love it! especially good by using black as a differentiator of foreground and background!
The enemies also remind me of MegaMan X enemies for some reason :P
Man That's awesome Love The Rocks btw lol I aM Voting =)
While creativity is always important, this week it seems to me its all about making the pallete work. You have certainly made it work here.
so much yes
You still have time. This challenge isn't over for another 5 or 6 hours.
