Hello again.

A little experiment with a light source from below. Also an experiment for me to see whether it is actually physically possible for me to do pixel art without dithering. Since this turned out okay, I am really glad I did it.

I am not sure about the anatomy, though. I did this one on a different PC than usual and when I brought it back "home", it seemed a little squeezed in the vertical direction. So either their screen is messed up or mine :-/

Edit: Fixed all the issues that were mentioned (or so I hope). Changed the angle of the light source, eliminated all the banding issues and stretched the skull to make it look more natural. Thank you all for the comments and constructive criticism!

Well it's already looking 2x beter only crits i have now to offer is making the face less mirrored and work more with the lightsource. Nothing else doesn't hop in my eye now anyway good luck with it. Oh and almost forgot to say that i'd redo the eyebrowns their not looking happy nor evil now make 'em evil this smiley has pretty good expression as ref.

OMG that's what I look like in real life (without the whole evil-motif). Wow. What are the chances?

i do believe this looks odd to me because the eyes seem a little to high up on the head, or look too flat, sorry not the greatest peice of crit...

i think the cheek line looks like it is not AA'd because the 2 AA pixels darkness is too close to the background and not close enough to the lightness of the face, so they kinda disapear becoming background pixels instead of AA.

@Batlorder

"Fixed", or rather "done stuff"...

Even though I am familiar with the phenomenon of banding, I am not very good at detecting every single spot yet. I have found some places and fixed them but I am not sure if that's all. Would you also consider rhythmic placement of pixels, such as the area around the chin, "banding"?

You have some serious banding issues with this peace all over. I heavily suggest you to fix 'em
