I can honestly say that I didn't even know there was an animation... I only know there's a movie of that name, though I haven't watched this one either. I didn't use any reference, but the overall shape is slightly inspired by old pirate muzzleloader pistols. Thanks for your comment :)

I think it's safe to say that I'm far more experienced with colored pencils than with pixels. So it shouldn't be too surprising if these still fall short of my drawings. But that's fine with me.. A good motivation to go on working hard on those pixel skills. Thank you.

Usually I don't edit finished pieces but since this was just a minor thing I made an exception. Went over the grip again and also toned the highlights down a little bit. Hopefully I didn't make things worse than they were before.. lol Thanks for pointing this out!

The design is very stylish. I like it a lot (also the fact that it belongs to you). The pixellization is not bad at all, either. There are few AA issues on the grip that I'm sure you're aware of.
