Well, you're perfectly ok at x2...true; at x3 the color-fusion effect is diminished a bit. Even so, it can be nice to give an image some variation & life rather than sticking to the monotony of "best colormatch" for every single pixel...dare to experiment! Well, that's my 2 gold-coins :D
The problem is that if the game is viewed at 2x or 3x with the green pixels not looks so good :(
So I saw these neat coins on the preview, got here, saw DB's comment, and learned something new :D
Also fil pretty much sums it up :D
Gold has a green component. Just using the few brown/yellows will make it look more like bronze/brass rather than gold, esp. in the darker side-view. Mixing in a few green pixels can make it a lot more gold-y.
Very nice and I love Dawnbringer's famous palette :)
