These are the types of graphics I would love to see for a MC texture pack. Love it :)
Wish I could be this good.
Yes is a pit, the problem is that is added too down and seems a wall. For next update will be more clear
Rrreaaally cool, but I don't understand that wall that fades to black, is it supposed to be a pit?
This is cool :). The pillars is interesting, one isn't used to seeing them angled like that in top down games. I like your staircase.
He He, well first we need to build a demo with the basic. BTW, KickStarter is only for United States and believe they opened to Uk maybe? in case to show in any site i think ous best option will be indiegogo
Will you be uploading this to Kickstarter? I would reccomend it, I would say you would get around $50,000 for productions. :)
Changed the coins perspective, don't look's perfect like the older but now fits better with the rest
Really like how you did the torches, I'm hoping to play this soon xD.
Yes actually the perspective is strange, still is not 100% defined and i don't know which will be the best and you can see the objects like the coins, keys and floor flat or cenital and other with some perspective, i need to fix that for the next update.
Here's why I think the perspective is odd:
You have the walls at an upward perspective, and the floor at a flat perspective. With older, less defined games, that normally wouldn't be an issue. But alas, mainly with the spike trap, the sewer grate, and the stairs, it looks strange.
Ok guys, new staircase, Now better? I made more large the starcaise to see more dark to get more depth down.
In case that still not looks correctly, can somebody give any reference?
This art is awfully splendid!!
I admire this feel of a material very much and study.
I think it looks great, but I agree with you about the staircase. I actually looked for it for about 15 seconds before my eyes spotted it. That tells me that it doesn't really resemble a staircase at all, and also it looks unrealistic. It looks more like a strange indentation in the floor. I think it definitely needs to be much larger, and match the perspective of the rest of the room. The staircase looks like it's going directly away from the viewer, not down into the next floor of the dungeon.
i love this :)
are the fading bricks supposed to be sloped, or is it a stairway? looks like the first, because the shading increases continuously...
Yes, i know what you mean but i can't get this looks ok, also with the top tiles for walls the perspective looks more real and not seems necessary to do that but good point Ashkin ;)
THe bricks fading into darkness look like they're the same angle/plane as the floor tiles. Maybe it could be fixed by not having the lines between bricks and those between floor tiles lining up like that?
Sounds good Matriax, once you start your own studio will you be looking for more employees? I could help you out from time to time, mainly concept art. :)
