You are very welcome. You have a really great style, I look forward to see more works from you :)
Thank you very much and your critique about the flames will come in super handy :D I can't wait to try again!
Fantastic critique, thank you so so much :) I really needed that, and what great pointers! I feel like re-doing the image already but will do a few more before coming back to the same scene.
Thank you so much again!
Thank you so much for the critique! I'll definitely work on that :)
This is very good. Nice colors and style.
The fire needs some work though. The fire looks like a solid shape rather than a flame. The core of the flames should be the brightest and outer edges of the flames should be a little darker compared to the core. I agree with what Manupix said but I don't think this piece needs any anti-aliasing.
It may be just me but I like sharp pixel works like this one. So nice job :)
Nicely atmospheric, excellent for a first try! I love the middle part, the colors and values perfectly convey the forest dusk.
The foreground doesn't work so well because of the light. The fire is almost the only light source, with just some dark blue coming from the sky into the shadows: the cool green ferns and cool grey stones are impossible. Also the orange highlights on the animals read as strongly lateral light, whereas light on them is frontal. This example comes to mind (not pixel-art). On the other hand these highlights are fine on the stones, but everything else about them should be in deep shadow. Fire itself should be the brightest part of the scene: very bright yellows and oranges, even white; keep the more saturated warm tones for the closest areas to the fire.
You already know about the palette ;) It wouldn't hurt to try to reduce that to 32, or less.
Some jaggy lines want cleaning up, esp the moon
Next you might try some anti-aliasing, and avoid banding ;)
Very cool scene.. I think the ambient light from the fire needs a bit more work. It feels sort of cardboard right now. Doesn't have the same glow that you see on the moon and stars.
I like the atmosphere and the colors, what a cute scene ^^
Aww, so sweet!
