Ah, I see. That tool hasn't really been designed for "strict" pixel art so it doesn't pay very much attention to color count, it's more of a digital painting tool that can work on a pixel level. While it might sound like a lot of work for no good reason at first, I'd recommend steering clear of the "automatic" tools like shading brushes and noise. Check some shading tutorials out, practice, and you'll be doing better than a shading brush ever could. :)
right now im just using Piq's advanced draw tool it has the key features but nothing special i just think its really easy to use :)
Thinking about your color count helps you think about how you use your colors in general too, and that'll help you improve your skills and get you even cooler results in the long run. Applications generally have a color count feature, what app are you using?
Thx for the feedback. Im quite new to pixel art but i mostly make it when im bored and for my own pleasure. I dont think too much about the colour count. :D oh and btw where do i check my colour count? cant seem to find it anywhere
The same as with the Batman logo, 188 colors is quite a lot, and none of them are defining any volume. Might you be using a lightness up/down retouch tool? That can easily blow the color count up and it's not a substitute for good shading. Check the forum's Resources section out for several threads containing helpful tips. :)
Great thanks a bunch for the feed back :D
