Flying Cow is an addictive and very fun game where you control a flying cow and try to keep it in the air for as long as possible.
Steer the flying cow to collect lots of milk and cheese but remember to stay away from the birds!
The whole game is in pixelart and it's one of the few there is on app store!
So if you've an iPhone or iPod touch please download it and tell me what you think
Welcome to the 5th April Fool's Gallery challenge.
For this challenge we want you to take a look at the gallery of another PJ member and try to emulate their style. Can you fool us into thinking your work is theirs? Well...can you?
No list of restrictions this week; pick what restrictions are appropriate for your chosen artist. Just make sure your entry is entirely your own work and that you name the pixel artist you are attempting to emulate in your description.
For inspiration, have a look at the entries for the previous four April Fool's Gallery challenges [1] [2] [3] [4]
The challenge thread will have all the challenge updates. The thread is also a great place to post your WIPs.
Craig Robinson's Minipops are now available on the iPhone as a guessing game.
Terrific and unique looking pixel art game for the iPhone.
Every tech seems to downgrade (upgrade?) to pixel art at some point. This time it's Google Maps.
Just came across this fun game, you need only to use one button.

Great read for anyone interested in game dev for Xbox Live and some swell pixels!
Fans of late-80s-era BBS's (or hey, just nerds in general) owe it to themselves to check out Christine Love's new mystery/romance game, Digital: A Love Story, set entirely in an operating system in 1988. Available for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
A game by ArcadeAid uses awesome isometric pixel art! In the game you must identify 56 video games hidden in the huge picture.
And what does that mean? It means no blurry pixels when images get resized!
Download it here:

FireFox 3.5 had the unfortunate side-effect of blurrying images when they got resized (and this ruined the pixelly-goodness). 3.6 FINALLY fixes this problem.

The following pixel artists produced Pixel Joint's top rated pixel art for February 2010. Many thanks go out to this month's top pixel artists and all the members who took time to rate.
My friends Guy Collins and Leslie Wai recently collaborated to make a music video animated entirely in low-res pixels. It's pretty nifty. Go check it out!
Sony recently announced their new 'Move' controller. So this week we want you to get creative and design your own game controller for a home console.
You may draw inspiration from existing controllers, but don't be lazy and just submit a replication of an existing controller with some alterations - ie. no NES controllers with added analogue sticks. Be creative.
Your controller doesn't even have to be for an existing gaming system; in fact, it can be for an entirely made up system.
This is a look at the history of game controllers if you need some inspiration.
Canvas Size - Max 150 x 150.
Colours - Max 20.
Transparency - Required.
Animation - Optional.
Design a landscape of a fantasy world; it should be unlike anything found on Earth.
Please do not include creatures, characters or buildings in the image. Your entry should just showcase the environment.
Have a look at these images from the gallery for inspiration. Also, check out this and other works from Roger Dean.
Canvas Size - Max 200 x 120. Either horizontal or vertical.
Colours - Max 32.
Transparency - No.
Animation - No.
The challenge thread will have all the challenge updates. The thread is also a great place to post your WIPs.
