A nice pixel based adventure. A quest: finding the missing pieces of a spacecraft and a whole planet to explore. The map is really huge and it has a nice feel to it. Several hours of gameplay guaranteed...

You've "probably" seen a VH1 Pop-Up Video.
If you're anything like me? You probably laughed at a few of the pop-ups and wished you could "easily" make your own.

Well... now you can.

You can take just about any video from the internet (think YouTube, Google Video, MySpace Vids, etc) and make your OWN version.

8bit killer is a lovely little retro Game Maker-made FPS that combines a NES aesthetic with gameplay and 3D engine similar to Wolfenstein 3-D. It consists of 4 chapters with 3 levels each. It's quite amusing and should be able to entertain you for an hour or so (assuming you use Windows).

Download here. Use the WASD or arrow keys to walk, press space to choose between weapons, move the mouse to look, press the left mouse button to shoot and press the right mouse button to open doors. Esc ends the game.

Challenge winner pain challenges you to pixel your own version of a famous picture/photograph.
Easily recognizable photo preferred. For example the Tiananmen Square tank, the WWII kiss, Che Guevara's portrait, etc. You shouldn't look at your ref picture at all while pixelling.
Study the original and only begin pixelling once you have it committed to memory.
Honor system, you cheating, lazy bums.

Canvas Size - up to 320x240
Colors - 32 Max
Animation - No
Transparency - No

The challenge thread will have all the challenge updates. The thread is also a great place to post your WIPs.
