The total removal of all statistics, info & dates etc. (i.e. a good overview) is not something I'll get used to, I expect this to be re-implemented or I'm afraid I might not use PJ much anymore (and I too like to se the ratings. I love statistics  & data, so sue me! ;) ). thugs icons are really nice and the grey background is good. I'm sure Sedge and others have worked hard on this update; I'm sure the system is improved behind the scene, but the changes in functionality that affects me is fubar.

A lot of people don't seem to realize that this is actually better web design...

Honestly, it makes me want to be apart of the community even more now.

And site redesigns always get at people; once you get used to them though, you realize that they're way better than the old designs.

@drr: no idea how that got there. I used the theme personally for a while before submitting it, so I know it was working right beforehand.

EDIT: Also it looks like some stuff changed between then and now so the theme looks a little funky in some areas (hard to read news headlines, grey boxes around some text, etc)

EDIT THE SECOND: Also, guys, please be patient before proclaiming that this is the biggest catastrophe since whatever killed the dinosaurs and you're leaving forever. There are always many kinks to be worked out after a big rollout like this and I'm sure it's really disheartening for sedge to hear so much unconstructive criticism.

Pretty much all these 'new bugs' everyone keeps reporting... they're not really all that new. You folks have just caught up with the rest of us that have been having them for years now.

Also CLEAR YOUR CACHE AND COOKIES before you start complaining about bugs, can't stress that enough.

Personally I'm not blaming anyone. I guess it can be harsh as hell to implement this kind of update, so please guys, give them time to fix the major issues, and don't overeact for a fews bugs.

ParkerBaby: i know the feeling i feel the same way. but if you eveer cared at all about this place you owe it to them and yourself to at least give them time to fix the place up code wise. if graphics are your problem change your theme to pixeljoint theme v2. its the old site theme before this update.

greenraven: i would have thought there'd b more then emoticons on that list. there is so many annoying things about this update. however it would have been nice toa ctually be allowed to see the images being brought up on the screen for a bit before it rotated to next list. it would show weekly showcase and before i get to see any of them bang its already changed.

Everything here is fine.
I use Opera and I'm with the v2 theme.
Anyway the update is good, the only thing that I didn't like is the rotator on the top of the page.
Maybe you could make an option to chose what displays there(For example, I only want the New Pixel Arts showing). 

Oh and I agree with DawnBringer. These smiles doesn't show any emotion. It's only a guy with glasses and big teeth, thats moving. For instance and  .

 same problem as wenruto, the pictures don't display right on Google Chrome. seems like it would look good otherwise.

Agree with wenruto, the smileys are awesome but they just cant' show any feeling.

Ummh For Me When I use Google Chrome I can't Comment , when i Go to a page With Pictures It's sometimes blank. or they show up like the pictures in weekly chalenge with big titles...

but works fine on firefox..but not so well on IE

AHHHHH!!!! this fucking place is driving me up the wall, i'm not coming here anymore until version three comes out. i'll answer messages but thats it. fuck. i tried to edit my post it edited it and then i relaized another spelling mistake so i press edit button again and it takes me to a registration page i look up top of page and i'm still logged in. i had to log out then log back in just to edit the post again. this has happened with other things as well.

i've found a number of issues with this place since the update. and i haven't tried to hard to pick them out either. i've messaged jalonso them. the main on is if you click on your favourites tab the page turns toa  blank white page with favouyrites listed. i have the pixelation theme set. so i don't know if thats just for my theme or not....

And what's with the smileys...I can't tell what they are so how could they express my feelings? Will not use them.

displaying more than four pieces in the weekly showcase and newest pixelart at once is fantastic. I guess I'll get used to everything else.

Hate the flipped messages! Either go back to the original way, or even better; split alerts/private_messages into two seperate things!

Very nice! I noticed a display issue with the Pure Joy theme. The hover effect for links is a pure white #ffffff. This makes it hard to see the link when hovered because the background of that theme is a cream white.

Add dumbo's set to the gallery plx :D

One lil' bug: when I browse my gallery, then click on a piece page, then hit 'backspace' I get back to my messages page, not my gallery, and not even to the top of the page. No big deal though. Presently Fx 3.5 on Mac OSX .

Edit: same on the comments page. S'pose I scroll down the page, click a comment, hit backspace: I'm back to the messages page, as far down as I was on the comments page; have to scroll up to the tabs, then scroll down again for the next comments.

Edit 2: nice theme but hard on some pieces. Going to have to update.

Edit 3: zoom +/- white boxes look hard on the grey bg. Way to transparencify them?
