I think it comes down to patience, I can only go like 10 minutes pressing the random unrated pixel link and rating stuff at a time.

Add an enemy or 2 and a character and I think this would be a nice scene.

Totally Awesome.  Tons of critters, I love it.

The emo zombie with his chest puffed up is the best part.  Makes me want to kill him too.

Yes I do, Bob.  Then how did we pick a 3-d game if they were only on monitors?

user
Koch @ 1/11/2008 14:02 commented on Trackmania Nations 2D
There hasn't REALLY been a 3-d game then.

Koch @ 1/11/2008 11:07 commented on Big Bird
Does that mean you made it through the first 2 and actually turned the 3rd one on?

It's a cardboard cutout car laying down some rubber.  Awesome.

I was doomed anyway.

Well the rules should of been a wee more specific, because just saying 3-D and 2-D implies 3 dimensions and 2 dimensions literally.

Haha, Don't take it personally, Kaminari.    It's a pretty good mockup either way.

2D can't have depth or it's 3D.  What it can have is multiple layers which make the illusion of depth.  So if you draw a cube in ISO it's 2-D?  Then if you draw a square in iso it's 1-D?  I think that means if I make a dot in ISO I disappear or go back in time or something. Interesting.

This is a pretty comical version of Wolfenstein.  I like it.

Probably, but I still think it's a stretch.

Nice smooth dithering and good color selection.  Is it a face? Or is it a little frozen hut?

user
Koch @ 1/9/2008 10:12 commented on Trackmania Nations 2D
Isometric is in fact 3D since it has depth, height and width.

@Metaru, I agree with the other stuff, but what doesn't make sense?

user
Koch @ 1/9/2008 07:46 commented on Trackmania Nations 2D
This is still 3 dimensional.

user
Koch @ 1/8/2008 11:46 commented on N.F.S Pro Street
I merely meant that it was based on a screenshot of the game (3-D).

user
Koch @ 1/8/2008 09:01 commented on N.F.S Pro Street
Besides that it is a trace of the actual screenshot of the 3-D game.  Technically isn't everything on this site 2-D, I mean it's on the screen, right?

user
Koch @ 1/8/2008 08:58 commented on N.F.S Pro Street
This by no means could be construed as a 2-D mock up, sorry.  Well, Bengoisha, the challenge wasn't pixel a 3-D custcene from a 2-D game that was a remake of an originally 3-D game.
