\[T]/ Praise it indeed!

Souls meme aside, this is very, very well done -- keeping most of it muted in neutrals to make the warmer tones shine was absolutely brilliant -- and I hope to see it in the showcase!

i thought for sure you were gonna place higher with this one (i honestly wasn't expecting to place at all), i love this piece -- the clouds especially are just wow at this small of a scale

yeah it's definitely busy (I blame my tendency to detail-compensate at smaller resolutions), and it's not my best by any stretch, but I'm satisfied enough with the turnout given the challenge

it's funny, the entire right side of the distant structures (from the big bridge onward) are actually directly below and behind the top of the tree he's on, so the placement of locales is totally wrong

but the horizon looked hollow and empty without anything there, so it's a technical mistake i'm fine with having made, it adds a lot of flavor and personality to the scale of the piece imo

@jph
coincidentally, a large portion of the palette choice was to restrict myself only to using NES colors (albeit i used several different palette variants that were slightly different in saturation/value, but they all came from the same system) to see how much utilization i could get out of them

it wound up being a great success, i'm happy to say!

it would appear that the temptation was too great--you could not avoid the noid

A fantastic piece, and there's never enough LoK stuff out there.

The Pillars way-off are a really nice touch, too.
