Worked okay for the castle, but I feel like I whiffed on the plane of the clouds. As for reference, I didn't have anything for the lighting, but for the design of castle itself I remember looking at a lot of Spanish castles, particularly Coca Castle.

Looking back, there are some things that really stick out -- the lighting on the back wall is nonsensical, the statue isn't very good or accurate to the in game model -- but overall, I feel like it's aged pretty decently compared to a lot of my old stuff ... and I just looked up and read the description I wrote for this way back when, haha.
