There's two of us. Me in charge of all character/monster sprites and animations, and Vilya's in charge of all the background and GUI stuff. 

We've been at this for a very long time though (5 years and still going strong) so we've both evolved quite a bit since we first started out ;D

Does anyone know of any good library/site/artist/game/movie/anything really when it comes to animated 2D effects? Like explosions, hit/slash effects and so on (stuff like this: http://alexredfish.deviantart.com/art/Punches-Slashes-FX-Animations-Part-1-370278941 )

They've been my biggest nemesis ever since I started poking around with animations and I feel it's time to educate myself more properly instead of just hoping for the best when I do them :)

The Kasparr: Thank you :) I don't really know in terms of actual hours, I spent a couple of weeks working on them more or less full time. I'm not an incredible fast worker so it probably took me longer then it needed to ;D
