Although I don't see anything wrong with the piece, there's not really anything right. This whole "cute faces on inanimate objects" thing has just been done to death.

Seems really generic. Jumping on brown platforms with grass on top to get jewels and avoiding spikes. Oh, and you're a blob. Try to develop your character skills and start with making a more unique character.

Try giving the hair some texture. Hair doesn't look like that - it's made out of individual strands.

This is perfect. I love the belly poking out. :)
