Well the reason the upper body is so lifeless is because I just barely finished the legs. I am still working on it, it's not the finished sprite, but it's getting closer. The legs took me about 2 days to complete, but now I just need to fine tune it.

That boss reminds me of a boss from an old nes game called Gaurdian Legends. I couldn't find an example picture, but if you've played it, you might know what I'm talking about.
