I have to say, the tile work on this is amazing... sorta reminds me of SoM tiles, with a more colourful look. This mock-up really looks like its from a GBA rpg. Only problem is the main character's black outline. It makes the character stand out too much when put on the tiles. Otherwise, excellent work!

Wow, Im surprised nobodys commented on this! These are incredible, seriously. I see a bit of Capcom style shading in there, and a very strong anime influence.
But... the two girls on the left could have slightly more feminine faces. I dunno, maybe smaller mouths, or different shaped eyes. But its nothing big.

This has a professional feel to it. It looks like it could have come out of an MMO game. One problem I have with it is, his body movement seems somewhat feminine.

The sprite itself is really good, but the animation... it seems quite choppy. Maybe it should be sped up? Still very good though.

I like the style used. You were able to fit in a lot of detail, in such a small space. Good work!

And for the angle problem, it can be used for Isometric games (maybe), RPGs, icons...

Nice games you got there. Your animation is excellent, and I like the pixelled backgrounds. But in the Roll game, Im not sure she should have such a fighter-esque stance. But thats just me.

Wow, thats really good. I especially like the way the hair is shaded. Only complaint, is the way the swords are held by the middle girl. 5 nonetheless.

Very cute and stylish. Also quite inspirational.

Nice sprite, I like the style. But the animation IS a bit questionable. Try and make it look more natural, because yeah, it does look like you moved divided sections.

Winner. Really, this is very preofessional-looking. I like the lighting and the use of colour. +5

This is.. amazing. You could easily mistake this for a CGed image. The quality of the pixelwork here is really something. (Heh, and I thought the scaled preview was impressive) The game is pretty neat also. Full marks and a Fav'

No flaws, at all.

Whoah, this is niice. I dont see any flaws either. (But the body could do with some movement) Good fluid animation. MM8 style?

More SFIII/CPS3 looking awesomeness from you, I see. Wicked design, and an impressive sprite. 5 from me.

My only complaint is, the left hand looks strange. The two fingers that are up are at the wrong angle, compared to the others.

user
GigaGuy @ 12/8/2005 16:43 commented on KOF/SvC style Jin
Yeah, I agree. I drifted more to CvS style than a SNK style. I also agree that the sprite looks jagged in areas...

user
GigaGuy @ 12/8/2005 16:41 commented on SFIII Bison
Yeah, I was going for a bigger-looking Bison here, a mix of SFA and CvS. At the same time, trying to incorperate SFIII style for the first time. The result is pretty messy looking and off balanced. And Wolverine, I kinda get what you mean by 'fuzzy' looking. I used this: 'http://www.zytor.com/~johannax/jigsaw/sf/3s.html' as shading reference and palette source. Credit to them for that. So yeah, I'll work on all that on my next SF character SFIII redo. Thanks for the comments!

(And thanks for the tip. But it looks like all I really needed to do, was to upgrade to FF 1.5 >.>)

Hmm, yeah your right. But I still think you nailed the style. If I didnt know better, Id say this dude was from the game. (But I DO know better :P) So yeah, good work. It would be nice to see it animated, maybe.

Thats some sweet sprite work there. The overall look of it is just great! Just goes to show pixelart doesnt need to be real big or detailed to be awesome. 5 n' fav'ed.

This is really nice. The lighting and shading is great, and actually, the sprite looks like its in Street Fighter 3 style. Am I right?

Yeah, I had trouble doing the hair...
And Im basing it on Zero's SvC:Chaos appearance. (hence the shin-level leg armour and longer helmet spikes) And thanks for the comments, guys. Ive got some more work to upload...
