I hate to say this, because I've heard it used so many times to defend bad design or poor art, but in this case it really is the style.  I spent some time looking at the chibi style before attempting this, and the one I chose to use has feet like this.  And then I went and made the boy's feet different.  ^^;  I should have picked one style and stuck with it.

The "elements" in this game are based on color, so I'm trying to make it as easy as possible for the player to tell what color an enemy is by the sprite.  In this case, the golem is innately green.  I was afraid if I made the stone too colorful, it would make it difficult to tell.

You should credit Showkaizer and Tana for the base.

The closer foot looks too flat, and the shading on the shoulder is off - the highlight should come up further on the shoulder than that.  The front of the shirt could benefit from some shading.  And if you're not going to add hair, you should recolor his head to be skin-toned.  If that's supposed to be a helmet, well, er, it doesn't look like one.

The random pixels on the floor and shelf don't really look like wood, if wood was your intention.  Wood has grain, so you should be able to see a suggestion of the lines of it.

The face looks good, but the shading looks "messy."  Skin is generally smooth, so the shadows on it should have smother edges.

Also, the highlight on the hair should be a downward curve, not a line.  Hair highlight is like a halo.

There's something odd about the horizon on the right.  You'd kinda expect the ocean to go farther "back" than the island.  Or if it's not an island, the land seems to end too soon.

Yeah, I hear you.  One would think it'd be easier to make smaller pixel art, but to a certain degree, it's much harder.  Suggesting a feature with only 5-10 pixels is HARD.  ^^
