Nice. I tend to think MP is a bit obscure game, so I'm glad you spotted the vibes.

Wonderful atmosphere and sense of scale and drama.

Thanks. The palette is mostly thanks Mark Coleman who did the wonderful graphics for Magic Pockets. I changed only few colours.

Great details and atmosphere. The wooden railing seems a bit high, reaching on the level of their shoulders at least. (Judging from the height of the barmaid who's the only character standing.)

Thanks for all the nice comments. I enjoyed pixeling this piece a lot.

CELS: Nah, just a Finnish dude with a regular finnish face.

The reason why it looks slightly feminine may be because the face and hair part is based on o photo of me. ;)

The way I did this is I had photos taken of me under a bright light to get a suitable Frazetta -like lighting. I also attached some weights to s tick so I could pose with a suitably heavy prop axe. Then I used various other photo references (mainly Arnold) for the rest of the body, since I'm far from my comfort zone when drawing muscular dudes.

Nice game, after a quick test. I tested on iPhone 4. Any idea what causes those occasional vertical strips to appear on the bg? I have the same problem with the game I'm working on..?

Actually the GODS axe barbarian was the inspiration behind this.
