Wasn't Sword of Mana, it was Magical Starsign. Same artists/style I guess though. I really thought I put that in there, sorry. Yeah, I really love their art style and it inspired me to try something purposefully in that style.

But it's a terrible game. Don't play it (Really, it is very rushed, I'd rather you play Paradise Blue if anything although that's an RPG). I have no current plans to make this a remake game, I just felt like doing a mockup.

Yeah, it does. I've gotten tilesets down to much less colors. I guess I wasn't worried about color counts since it was for quick project but yeah, I'll try to keep it down.

Thanks for the comment! Yeah, you make a good point with the bath, I'll get around to fixing that shortly. But for the 2nd thing, that's not a bed, that's a Kotatsu. Maybe if I editted the pose and had her arms above the table. But since my sprite I have isn't going to be used in game, I didn't go through the effort. :D

Hmmm, about the carpet, I like the carpet itself. I don't think I use it on a wooden floor very often, but I'll check and see if I can replace it with another one that would fit better. If not, perhaps an object would be better.

The monsters are dark and don't stand out much from the background, unlike the character. I think the plants in the background like the bamboo and trees are done well, mainly just the contrast issue for the monsters.

Sort of reminds me of the Flame Eater boss from FF6.

From the looks of it, I think you wanted the fire to look like it was curling forward. I would put more of the highlight on the bottom part and less near the tail of it if that's what you intend to do.

I saw the preview and was just expecting a flower or 2 here and there, but this is really a nice surprise. Wonderful job on the carpet design, it really came out well.

Looks great. I love the colors in particular. Keep it up!
