Lovely! The three at the top are my favourites, absolutely charming!

I'm not sure I understand the question - I just used the available colours? :)

Aye, these days I use Timanthes which lets me set the graphics layer properties to whatever C64 mode I want to use - if I use too many colours in a block, it turns the pixel(s) I placed last red, so I notice instantly. I use it for MSX1 graphics as well, since the AFLI limitations are basically the same as the normal MSX1 bitmap limitations. When I was making graphics for the MSX1 16-18 years ago I used Deluxe Paint 4 on the Amiga, and had to keep track of all that stuff myself. Timanthes makes it so much easier.

AFLI doesn't flicker at all. It's based on the native 320x200 bitmap format, but tricks the graphics chip into getting new colour information per line instead of per character block, so the colour resolution increases from 2 colours per 8x8 pixel block to 2 colours per 8x1 pixel block.

For C64/MSX/Amstrad graphics I use Timanthes, it's based on paint.net: csdb.dk/release/

For most other things I use Pro Motion: www.cosmigo.com/promotion/index.php

No, I'm not.

Juan J. Martinez is the guy who made the actual game, I just made the loader screen.

Yes, the I looks like a J. I "inherited" the letter shapes from the existing Magica logo that was already in the game.

Cute character.

The lightning thing in the background could use some work on the anti-aliasing. You have a lot of stray darker pixels popping up between the bright mint area and the white: http://cheesepirate.com/tmp/pixels.png

Bloomin' eck, that's grim.

Very nicely drawn, though!

It's green!

I would probably have used a lot more of the pinkish white on the feathers, to make it more snowy.

Cute and colourful - I like how he's holding onto his hat while jumping in the first picture, nice detail :)
