lol this is sweet

composition is fairly good, use of complimentary colors (orange/blue) is a nice idea. the antialiasing on the piece is very smooth which is normally a good thing, but in my opinion you could probably achieve the same effect with far fewer colors than you are currently used. the piece leaves a lot of blank space on either side of the design, i would reccomend finding some way to add texture or some sort of dithered gradient to maybe add a more dynamic element, though there is something to be said about how centering the graphic draws the eys in from the edges.

@Manupix

ah - yeah, that makes a lot of sense honestly. I think usually my inclination is just to ramp towards blue/purple no matter what and this was sort of an experiment in... not doing that. Though yellow>green>purple>bluegrey>black isnt really far off from that. my initial thoughts were more along the lines of subpixel aliasing like with fonts... which i did a pretty deep dive into recently and it turns out not to be the case haha.

looking at Panda's work -- i can definitely see what you mean. thats a lot more similar to the type of subpixel things, ramping through reds on outer linework and blues on inner, which is slightly different from how fonts do it if I remember. but really really good, though in those cases its really dependant on the background color being a specific fit rather than just white. this was actually sorta a study in oceanscented 's type of palette, but my sort of hyper-poppy colors ingrained too

To me it seems like the darkest shade of green doesn't blend as well with the rest of the colors because it is too drastic of a shift. Possibly lighten that one shade a bit.

The pallete and antialiasing is very neatly made here! The animation is pretty smooth, but it looks like sack on his back is pulsating, is that intentional?

Oh, woops. Other people have told me that he looks like that, though I've never seen Rick and Morty. My inspiration mostly came from the Klurf style of Something Awful's Shmorky.

Thanks for taking a look. Those spots you pointed out are supposed to be part of anti-aliasing, I wanted to create an outline of the more mint color, but have it be lighter on the top half. I can see how it sticks out, though. I might take another shot at some point, and add another shade to create the "outline" effect better.
