Just messing around and i decided to make a soldier sprite. Ive never made a sprite before so im not exactly sure on everything that it needs.C&C please, i really want to learn to make nice sprites for the future.

(don't pay attention to color blocks, im using more.

C&C is a must!!!!!!!!!

small edit, i realize that mostly looks well in my eyes except for the face.....could anyone help?

Made clothes jaggy, i realized it looked very weird only giving interior detail.

Can someone please help me out...i didnt post it here so i wouldn't get help. CMON dudes, please

Well....you guys arn't much help are you. So many views and no comments and crit? I really need this guys.....this is my first sprite.

If i don't get some help in a few hours im just gonna submit lolz. I know its not perfect, so bulch out anything u wanna say dudes

ps. might make an animation with this, maybe an explosion....but i need to perfect the dude first

Firstly, people here choose to post or not, unfortunately not everyone is as considerate as me.

Secondly, most of what you want to do does not need be done with "jaggie clothing". Proportions of the body anatomy wise need to be reasonably good though. This depends on the obvious style chosen(so chose a style, realistic seems somewhat out of reach for now. I think you should have fun with your work), so really have a look at other peoples work and decide what you ultimately want.

Other than that I can't help you, this is something that you would have to do yourself. I would also like to say that you use references (and use tham allot) and always post your reference on your topic, so that we can be more sure of where you want to go with this and other pieces.
All of these things ensure that you will get as much help as possible.

So your saying that if i like the style of my sprite and how it looks it is fine? We'll i have looked at it alot and i think its ready to be put....and i like the jaggie clothing.

No, I didn't say that at all, what I said was that it fits no style nor is it particularly great anatomy and colour and so many more ways.

I also suggest you clean him up, fix his anatomy, think of a nicer pose etc etc, and then bring back (better) folds

I'm really having a hard time finding a better pose i work well with. This is my first sprite so i am really struggling on this. I will probably spread legs some and keep arms together, maybe holding a machine gun.

If you guys want to edit anything it would be fine.....but i guess i need to find a 'style' first. (dosn't everything have a style)

Ok, when i get time today....soon. I'm gonna do a plainish cool style for my soldier. Totally new prob. I've only done a few pixels to submit here, so im not very experianced, but i have been here for over a year (hardely ever here before)
