I'm sure I have "Let other members use as avatar" checked.

I also tried it with it unchecked.

Unlike all my other pieces, it just says "Edit icon details" Without "Make this icon my avatar" under it.

Is there something I could have changed?

It needs to be <64px by 64px, you also don't need to tick the Avatar button, 'cos you can avatar your own pieces regardless :)

Ah, thanks.
I usually make my pieces 64x64, so I've never had the problem before.
