Making a remake of the game Paragon (Screenshot) and I'm working on ultimately changing the pixel art from just the one "pack" of artwork you see above, to multiple packs and themes. Below is the beginnings of a "castle infiltration" theme, where the levels have you coming from a small village, entering the castle, exploring various rooms, and escaping over the castle wall.
I will post more as I make it, so far this is all I have done (I just started today) Hedges:
Grass, brick walls, dirt, stepping stones, flowers and a wagon wheel (meant to stick up out of the grass)

not really much to comment on at this point. the texture looks like an automatic tool was used (or many different shades of green were placed in a more or less random fashion. it looks like it works for the purposes you intend for it, you could add more depth and a more organic surface if you had darker patches mottled in on the top surface.
