I would like some advice on how to add more depth to this piece... Shall I use more colors? Or remove them? I am quite satisfied with the handle. But the crystal-like edge is totally messed up

I'd just add an additional almost white color to make the crystal reflections a bit more like glassy. Maybe shift the gray a bit towards a desaturated blue.

Crystals often have some refraction going on too. Remember you can see the inside of the crystal too. It's isn't just outside shading.


A chipped glass piece might be a good reference.
