Pixel Joint Forum: Robot shoots a kid with a crotch laser!

Message

"there should be a robot in one corner firing a laser out of
it's crotch into the eyes of a child in the other corner"

Beginning line tweaking and coloring stages now. I'll tweak things like
some of the folds and the boy's right (viewer's left) armpit won't
overlap his chest etc. Suggestions of a background would be nice,
although I'm not sure if I'll have the motivation to create a
background when it comes time.

	why not make the laser go through the back of the head and come out of the eye? =] it would be moer gruesome/cool. instead of a laser just stopping in mid-eyepoking.

	I guess that'd make more sense given the perspective. I was thinking more along the lines of a laser pointer though. It's a lot easier this way too, since I doubt burning flesh is easy to pixel. Full color comes next followed by final tweaking, hoorah! The ZING! will probably be removed.

	Lovely shading blick, hilarious concept aswel. Hmm, i would say the robot was looking in the same direction as the boy. The kid also has his head turned so.. uh.. Meh, it could work. And also, light doesnt flash out of a beam like that either, but it just makes the image look cool.

	Hawken: Yeah, I'm going to have to make the laser go into his head and come out of is eye. i would say the robot was looking in the same direction as the boy. The kid also has his head turned so It wouldn't work, unless the robot was more by his side, but I've made it a point to show their difference on the z axis, so it would be impossible for the light to reach the kids eye from anywhere in the front. Plus the kid has his head turned away, making the impossible even less likely. I'll just make the laser go from the back and come out the front. and why is it thicker at the base (ahem)? No reason, I just like how it looks. It's sharper that way, making it seem more painful, I think. I'll change it if it's too wrong later on. so now what's that little bump on top of the kid's arm? A [useless and probably unlikely] fold in the shirt. I thought about gettting rid of it when I switched which directiont he kid would face before I finished the lines. He was originally going to be standing a bit straighter and fall toward the laser, but then I realised that looked ridiculous and unlikely. I know if I got hit in the eye with a laser, I wouldn't try to get closer for maximum retina grilling. EDIT: Now... to figure out the laser and fix errors that have gone unnoticed by myself. 	Yeah, I just saw that robot on Pixel(opolis/ation) when I got home today. Interesting that they're so similar. Then again, I've seen a lot of designs that are like the one in my piece. The thin pieces connected lower legs, forearms and the hips to the chest is pretty common.

	Long answer: That I know of, yes. But the fact that Dr Derek Doctors thought of it on the spot means that others have most definitely thought of it too and I'm sure there are some sick people with his mind that have created pictures of said crotch laser robots. Short answer: No, because there are people more disturbed than I out there.
