Make them hold their gard, you know have them hold their hand in their forhead, also add a "general" lil dude stading on our right side. (near the watch tower)

Looks cool, but the generals hat could use some work ;D And by that i mean that you should give his hat outlines so it fits to the other stuff.

The reason being that you'll need to pull something innovative and interesting for people to accept it. I imagine that many members are rather tired of lil' dudes.

Yeah, we don't really accept Lil' Dudes anymore unless they're creative and original. I think Imagician's Lil' Dudes are good examples.
