I have had about a month of basic- no tutorial spriting. The forum i used to go to had a section on spriting, but there were only about 2-3 people professional like here, so i plan to move here and change.
Long ago,
I made my FIRST EVER grass tile:
![]() Now:
![]() FIRST EVER Sand tile:
![]() HELP! (tell me if you are talking about my latest grass tile or my first sand tile)
And don't worry. I'm not another immature freak.
Even though at 16 years of age when i will start making money i will have six years of experience... and if this is my first year... ![]() Edited by mattpk - 11 February 2008 at 2:33pm |

From what you've posted, I'm assuming you are looking from a bird's eye view, correct?
(Bear with me because I am new to the pixelling society, if not pixelling itself ;D)
*Thinks for a minute* I think just make the lines short and almost stubbly. Add some darker shades and highlight the tips of the lines where you think they're "pointing up".
I like the first picture better, personally.
But, then, if you're going for something less realistic, I am of no help. ^^;

Up to you, of course. :P
I'm too new at pixel art to help much; I realize now... tile...
Good luck, though.

they do work :D now, I would look some tutorials about contrast and hue values, and study them. they surely give you all the knowledge you need to make these tiles more interesting ;) |
