Hey guys, I'm head artist at a relativly new, Mobile game company. (I don't want to post the name right here.) We are based in Lower Manhattan in New York, NY.
We are looking for two things. An additional artists to work full time, in house. (Possibly two, but likely just one.) We have plenty of work for freelancers (but nothing too advanced.) Let me talk about the freelance work first. Right now I have been working on a very large project, a pet game. Currently there's an average of 52 animations per pet, about 20 frames per animation, and the size of the actual sprite is about 48x48 (or smaller depending on the animal.) I can not show you these untill we get further into the process. What we need is people who are exellent in editing these animations into slightly different animals. Example, you would be given the down and side facing frame, for a new pet, and then have to change this crazy amount of frames of a previous pet, into the new one. We will send a test first. Changing two animations. (Lab to Beagle) The Quality controle has to be perfect. We are currently considering one artist for this, but this is a massive project, we will certainly need more than one. We would prefer to price this by completed animation or completed set rather than by hour or by day. Salary is nagotiable. So if you are interested please email me your portfolio. Chris Crawford If your interested in working with us full time. (Best place I've ever worked.) Again just send me your portfolio. Chris Crawford If we decide to take it further, we'll bring you in for some interviews. Oh, also let me know your Salary Requirements. I'll answer any questions you may have (Providing I actually can.) I'll talk to you guys soon. Good luck. |

I'm not sure if I can say that legally right now. Because of concerns with competitors, I would have to ask one of my bosses. As soon as I hear from them, I'll get back to that.
Though I don't see what one could lose from showing their portfolio. As for me personally, http://www.tengudev.com/chris/pixel/ I've done tons of stuff. This is all over two or three years old (but most of it is probly 4 or more years old.) as I don't have time to update things. (Or even make a proper website.) I have been a Video Game Artist, and designer (as a hobby) for about 10 years, and about 5 professionally. |
