Well this is at least 75% done at the moment, but I want to know what you guys think so far, maybe some tips for the other 25% of the image and tips on the eyes (they're wayyyy oversized).
I'm working with 27 (I don't care to conserve :\) colors on a 100x100 here.

I really need some pointers so I don't do anything stupid.
Note: I'm still a bit 'green' to Pixel Art, so explain terms that aren't basic please :)

give yourself more canvas size to work with, it looks like you've distorted her features to make her fit in this box (if you want 100x100, crop afterwards). She doesn't have nearly enough forhead/cranium, which are rather large structures on modern humans. the nose appears at a head-on angle, while the head is shown at an almost three-fourths angle. the ear is too small and is leaning to the right. neck shows that you're vaguely aware of the underlying structure, but you've reduced it to symbols rather than forms. the collar bones shouldn't be that high up, and the trapezius muscles seem to be absent, or at least melded to the neck.
best thing to do is reference, reference, reference. compare your image to images of actual human females and adjust accordingly. study the underlying bone and muscles structure that composes a human face.

Also, refining the detail in one image half while the other is barely outlined is not the best option for a workflow. Work at once on the whole composition, going down this program: - draw the lines and clean them as best you can (alternatively do without lines and block out shapes instead); at this stage think layout, anatomy and perspective. - make a rough first attempt at shading / coloring (deliberately not conserving is not optimal either); - take a rest and come back the next day; look for mistakes in the first 2 stages and correct or start again; - loop previous item ;) - when you're really satisfied, go for pixel-level refining. Loop again!
