This is for an MMORPG my brother is working on.

Suggestions as to how I could improve it would be great. :)

Personally I only see something greeny in a dark room (eg : I see nothing)... Try it without the black...

Yeah, I find it hard to see the actual image too.... either lighten the whole image, or use a white/lighter background, then we can give some good C & C

But from what I can see when it is zoomed, it looks very good. You might want to add some roots in the ground around the tree, just to add some more realism.

The background is black because that's the color key that our programmer is using, but here it is with a brighter background so you can see it better:

I had to put on sunglasses O.O

You guys can't see the oak?  Up your gama :)

By the way, thanks for the comment, though I'd still like to know if there is anything I could add/change to make it better besides brightening it.

its your gamma thats too hight, not ours too low :P

my gamma is perfect, light on 1 screen darker on the other screen.. and on 1 i didnt see anything and on the other one it was a bit dark

but my guess its not cause its too dark, its cause you lack contrast.

I can see the oak fine..

personally, I'd add in some roots that kind of pulled out from the trunk.

looks real good, good work pal.

I added some roots to it.

Here is basically how it will look in the game.

By the way, about it being "dark"...  My gama setting is set to normal, as is my brightness and contrast, so your hardware is either  goofy or your settings are too low. :/  Also, this forum has a bright background, so that is probably why it looks dark.

it looks fine to me.  That looks really good, actually...

can you give more info on your project?  it looks really interesting, and all I've seen so far is a tree.

I'm working as the artist for an MMORPG called Loradon Online ( http://www.loradon.com - www.loradon.com ).  I'm making these graphics for the new version.  My brother is recoding it in C++ and we are redoing the entire game.
