I've got some pre-alpha work here you can download and try out, but first let me explain the project. (or skip the bullsh*t and scroll down)

This unnamed project is about a cyborg sent by humans to earth to destroy 4 cores that were placed there to be a new efficient, eco-friendly form of producing power. The cores unknowingly sent a signal far out into space that a race, of another Earth type species, searching for a new planet discovered and coursed here. A cocoon thought to be an asteroid at first was a shuttle for an entire planet of aliens who won a battle with humans and made them retreat into space...

I could type more of the story now, but I want to say something about the actual game I stand very strongly behind.

It plays out like NES Metroid, being one giant world in a 2d side scrolling perspective, but unlike that game it never has to switch or noticeably load areas much like a modern free roam game. There is lots of outdoor and indoor play time, Item and Tool use like Zelda: A Link To The Past, player controls like a Contra game, ahh, this list is actually going to get pretty big too..

Ill just let you try it out and tell me what you think. Money wise, I wasn't really looking to cash in on this project, but just get known for something(but if we do a good job we try to sell!). So send me a message if your interested and if not you can expect to see this game by 2013 if I have to do it all my self.

Note: When you open the game, it actually starts in the level editor. Do not hit save, or when you run(F5) you will fall and fall and fall. So that being said just hit F5, and it will load the saved map for map 0x0, that is currently written, and drop you in the upper left corner. Walking left will drop you off the map, happy killing!
