Hello everyone!

My first post here, excited to share a pixel self-portrait. I tend towards symmetry and minimalism I guess, but haven't received any feedback so far on my work so I'd love to hear what others think/where I could improve etc. Much appreciated!

Good for what it is, minimal. Changes I'd make would be to make the hat slightly bigger and drape it downwards, kinda like a christmas hat. I'd also keep the face to one colour, the two shades there don't add any sort of volume or add definition, so I wonder if its even needed.

I agree with Damian about the face, but I'd take it one step further and eliminate all the shading, and instead use different colours to separate forms where you need to (e.g. use a darker green for the arms so they don't blend into the jacket, but don't have any shading).
The shading you have now barely reads like anything since there's no little contrast, and there isn't really room for it to define forms anyway.

Thanks for the feedback Damian and eishiya, appreciated. Good call on the hat, I'll play around with the shape. It does look a little funky as is.

As for the shading the both of you mentioned, you're right, it doesn't add much, especially in the face now that you point it out. I'll revise it.
