 With some ambience.

Just sketching my way back into a groove. I doubt I'll go much farther on this. Maybe I'll spell out all of Blick though.
I should really be doing other sh*t right now though. I hate college.

Alright, so this next one is a bit complicated. It's not completely hand pixelled, which I'll explain below.

So last night I was messing with my scanner. Scanning my hands as I moved with the light, making my fingers look really long and whatnot. Long story short, I ended up seeing what cool things I could do with distortion and my face just by the scanning process alone. But what it all led to was just me leaning over my scanner, probably looking like an idiot in the process, making a yelling sort of face which I planned on experimenting with.
I then resized it, since I knew I'd be using it for an avatar at Punaji and Pixelation eventually. I then upped the contrast, got rid of some brightness, which took out anything behind the face like shoulders or anything distant I didn't want to have to manually take out later. Once I did that, I sat back and got an idea of what kind of colors I was going for. I messed with hue and saturation levels, until I got this eerie sort of red color happening. Being a lazy bastard, I had Photoshop bring down the color count to eighteen colors automatically and then took it to MSpaint where I manually took out a couple more colors (I don't know how many it's at now), dithered and fixed a lot of screwy anti-aliasing caused by the resizing.
Overall it took entirely too long for something I thought was going to cut my time in half. It did get me straight to the fun part though, aa and clean up. And it got my mind off my studies, but I'm not so sure that was a good thing.

For the scan image, the hair is a little weird to me. It's a little too bright.

Souly, like the tip of the nose, the hair is flattened by the scanner glass.
Blick, It could look really cool if the bottom half went to greyscale so that it looks like a photo-realistic version of the battery avvy. The expression is exactly the same (that's just how I picture you, btw .)

Souly: I like how you don't mention the fact that my face is red as hell in it. But yeah, you're right, the hair is really bright. Especially considering my hair is brown.
Jalonso: Actually, nothing was touching the scanner glass. It's just the light was that bright. And I seem to often draw things yelling. I don't know what it is about it. I guess it's just what I know I can draw and I rarely stray from it.

Well I actually don't mind the red face. Adds some devilish additude to it.
I just think the hair is too yellow there's not enough detail in it and it sticks out to me.

Looks great Blick. Personally i think it's been cropped a tad too much on the right, seeing as much attention is led to this area, it feels a bit cutoff.
