I did this originally for a 7 color battle at pixeltendo where you could only use 5 shades of blue, black and white...I completely fail at that, but that's not really important anymore.  I liked the lineart adn was quite proud of it, adn I thought it deserved a better coloring, without restrictions.  So if anyone has any cool ideas or crits for this it'd be great.  I can't really think of a cool way to shade it that makes it pop.  Pretty much disregard the gawd awful shading it has now, I just can't find a basic lineart verion of it...

the lineart is awfully low and wide though, personally i'd make it less wide by chopping out a piece of the middle

There's the reference, so I'm not sure I want to take too much out of the width, but I'll try it.  And that pic was great for a shading reference, thanks.

Snader took the words right outta my mouth. Anyway, I'd add the windsheild wipers and the rear-view mirrors. Also I would add transparency on he window, and dice in the mirror .

Maybe this study helps:

Its was a tryout with a mediocre result, hope it helps with your coloring anyway.

I know what your saying snader, and I don't disagree, I just kinda liked the low wide version, btu sometimes you have to sacrifice what looks good to you to make a good piece, so I'll shorten and see the result.

d-p that was an awesome help again, it really helps to see where the highlits are and everything on a car, thanks.

I was thinking a darker red or maybe a silver-ish, but silver is so much harder...
