Hey there, I'm relatively new to pixel art, as I've only been experimenting for a few days now, but for my first serious piece I decided to pay homage to what got me started: isometrics. So I started out thinking I was going to pixel an ambulance, but as the piece progressed, it started looking more like a milk truck to me (guess it goes to show that I can never expect what will result from pixeling).
Anyway, I'm quite content with most of it, but I've run into sort of a... pixeler's block. I can't figure out how to make the wheels look like wheels, or how to make the bumper shiny. Any help is greatly appreciated.
C&C is welcome!

More of the wheels should be visible, the truck is riding pretty low at the moment.

The roof of the trucks compartment is very dark. And the roof of th truck cab has not the same colour as the rear even though its angle is the same. Euum... whatever, here's a pic

But what if the roof is supposed to have another color? For example the roof is black instead of blue :p

I doubt hes intention was to do that, anyway, then he should've used another colour shade, instead of a darker blue, for example... black.

@ThereIsNoCure: Do you mean I should move the tires down, or make the opening bigger? Or Both?
@Slems & Lollige: The roof was supposed to be blue, and I did
actually think it was a bit dark, but didn't think too much of it at
the time. But now that you've explained it, it makes much more sense
to do it the other way. I also noticed how in your edit, you removed
those darker pixels on the edge where the side of the cab meets the
front of the cab. It did look much better that way, so thanks a bunch
for the edit!

Thanks for all the help, guys. I really appreciate it!

I meant to move the tires down, but making them larger would be good too. Especially given hour gigantic that door is in comparison

If thats the case, I would make the roof the brightest. Normally the sun is on top, and the situation you have now can only happen on sunset.

I finally fixed the shading problem, and I made the wheel wells bigger, and I think it looks quite nice. But then again my eyes are a little wonky from pixeling for the past hour, so maybe I'm just seeing what I want to see.

Looks much better, but the tires don't look like they're 100% isometric.

That's what I was thinking. They look like they're turned just a little bit towards the inside of the truck. I'll work on it more later, right now: homework. -.-
