Is there anywhere a tutorial about creating a side walk cycle of 4 frames?
Thank you for any help you could provide

I don't know of any tutorials, but you could take a look at some sprites of GameBoy (Advance) games, to see how it's done there. I suggest The Shyguy Kingdom, that site has a lot of sprites.

A 4 frame walk anim can be made with 3 frames -

1) Feet together, arms at side
2) Left leg and right arm forward
3) Right leg and left arm forward

Anim runs frames 1, 2, 1, 3, 1, 2...

To make it a bit smoother, you could always split frame 1 into 2 frames and have them as "just starting to move legs forward"

Hope this helps

alright, four frames...

font leg:

1-leg bent, moving forward
2-leg extended, touching ground in front (not too far in front, though)
3-leg extended, some-what behind the center point of the body
4-leg contracted/bent, behind body (moving forward towards point 1)

front arm:
1-arm bent, mostly behind the center point of the body, but not by much
2-arm extended, almost limp, swung behind the body
3-arm semi-bent, mostly forward but still a bit centered
4-arm semi-extended, in front of the body

I'm just going through it in my head.. maybe I'll make an example,
but this is usually how I'd do it...

I'm sure you'd be able to figure out how to move the opposite limbs.

hope this helps.
