Alright.
Well, Iv had a small discussion with someone and we decided to try something.

I will take one person new to the scene, or just who wishes to learn a few tricks from me and aid them through ONE piece of pixelart.

What I will do to help you:
I will help you to develope ideas for this one and hopefully you will be able to learn from it and develope some of your own in the future.

I will help with colour selection.

I will help show how to make clean lineart without a scanned in image.

I will help with colouring tactics.

I can show a few different styles on how to do small things (not many).

Pretty much, I will teach the tricks and tips I have learned on my own for this one art piece.


Now, What I would like from you.

What would you imagine your picture to look like if i told you, that you had to have a hippo and a moose in it, in some way or another. Be creative, and tell me your idea here.

Draw a sphere and colour it. Im just curiose to see where your at.

Write a paragraph with how you came up with your idea for a picture that includes a moose and a hippo. Tell me where you got it. Your inspiration. tell me why you think this would be a succesful image.

Write a paragraph why you would like to take this course/activity. Explain why this interests you and what you hope to get out of it. Tell me one specific thing you would like to learn. Why do you feel you should be picked instead of someone else.

Lastly, show me one of your previouse pieces. Im not looking here for skill level but rather, what style you use and how you portray your creativness.

In roughly one weeks time (may go longer) but, September first I will select my person  to help.

Heh, it seems like the whole forums have slowed a bit. Don't feel too bitten by the fact that noone thinks they need your help.

It would be awesome if this stayed open. It's a good opportunity for any people new to pixel art, or who just plain suck. Don't kill it just because you're not getting floods of newbies looking up to you. That happens AFTER this becomes known, not right away .

And that seems like quite a chunk just to get help. I'd suggest hacking that list down to one or two optional things, rather than a bunch of mandatory. For example:

Draw me a(n):  with: 

A)Elephant        1)Tattoos

B)Toupee          2)Rabies

C)Tent               3)Gastric Distress

D)Baseball bat   4)A hairpeice

(I'd love to see a Toupee with a hairpeice)

OR

Show me one of your previous peices. Critique the hell outta it. Show me everything you recognise as wrong with it, everything that takes away from the image you wanted it to be.

OR

Show me how much you suck (or don't suck). Draw me the most complex series of geometric shapes you can come up with. Be creative, make them look like they wanna do battle. Make sure you include a circle, a triangular prism, and a lightsource. If you don't know how to do this, check out some tutorials, then attack it.
