Heres a zombie pic I made for one of my buddy's NES game projects, and comments, sugestions would be helpful, thanks. It uses a very limited color pallette because of the NES's limitations to 4 colors per so many tiles

I find the shading overall quite untidy... You'll need to clean it up and make it better. Potentially your work can look very good, but you'll need to make that step further to finish your spriting.
Good luck! |

Hello, I just thought I should chime in here.
Mr. Gimmick is the guy doing the artwork for the cinema screens in the NES game I've been making (I found this site because he was trying to hotlink from the image that he made that is stored on my site hehe). Anyway, in response to the poster above me: I'm not sure if you know of the limitations of the Nintendo Entertainment System. The limits are as follows: 4 colors per 8x8 pixels, to be extremely short and not in-depth about it. There is more to it, as well, like you can only have a certain color set per 32x32 set, just the one. So it's a bit hard to make some detailed things for... you have to be really damned creative. So, to be as quick as I can about this, he has done a tremendous job in making graphics that are compatible with the NES. I'm sure he could do better given some time, of course... everyone can do better over time with anything. But what he has done so far is, to be frank, friggin' superb. I'm not sure if anyone else saw this yet, but here is the zombie that he drew up:
It looks really nice, and meets the limited requirements of the NES. I just really had to say something when I saw the above post, because not everyone knows what limits there are on specific systems. |

Indeed, your work and skill are very promising but something about your pixel placement is rough. I think it just may be rushing things a little bit. I can still call your work pixelart but man are you ever close to Oekaki. Maybe you need some patience when working...just a little. |
